Pharmacy Disclosures

Good Guy Rx is a technology platform. It is not a pharmacy. It does not compound, manufacture, or dispense medication. Prescriptions issued through the platform are filled by independent, state-licensed pharmacies.

Independent state-licensed pharmacies

The pharmacies that fulfill prescriptions through Good Guy Rx are independently owned and operated. They are licensed in the state where the prescription is filled. They are not owned by, controlled by, or financially affiliated with Good Guy Rx beyond a standard commercial-services relationship.

503A vs 503B compounding

Where a prescription requires a compounded medication, the dispensing pharmacy may operate under Section 503A or Section 503B of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.

  • 503A pharmacies compound prescriptions on a patient-specific basis based on a valid prescription from a licensed prescriber. They are not registered with the FDA as outsourcing facilities.
  • 503B outsourcing facilities are registered with the FDA, manufacture compounded preparations under cGMP, and supply prescribers and pharmacies.

Compounded medications are not FDA-approved

Compounded medications — including but not limited to compounded semaglutide, compounded tirzepatide, compounded sildenafil/tadalafil troches, compounded topical finasteride/minoxidil, and compounded B12/MIC injections — are not FDA-approved. They are prepared in accordance with FDA regulations by an independent, state-licensed compounding pharmacy in response to a valid prescription from a licensed provider.

Brand-name medications

Where you receive a brand-name medication (Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Mounjaro®, Zepbound®, brand Viagra®, brand Cialis®), it is FDA-approved and dispensed by the fulfilling pharmacy in the same way it would be at a retail pharmacy. Wegovy and Ozempic are registered trademarks of Novo Nordisk; Mounjaro and Zepbound are registered trademarks of Eli Lilly. Good Guy Rx is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by either manufacturer.

Pharmacy partners

The current network of dispensing pharmacies is disclosed to applicable regulatory bodies as part of LegitScript certification. Specific pharmacy names per prescription appear on your prescription label and shipping confirmation.
